art history post [not about art history, just when it was made]
i didn't say anything about it when it was announced but i feel that i should. apple is taking the first steps into creating a world of entirely digital media. with the new itunes you can now do video. one click gets you a new music video, a current tv show, or a short film by pixar. now i know it isn't quite there yet but imagine you want to rent a movie, and instead of getting in the car and driving to the store you click a button on your computer and download the movie you want to watch. everything from movies, tv shows, radio shows, books, video games, computer games; all available to you over the internet. some people i know would say its already there, its not too hard to find a movie you want or a tv show you saw somewhere on the internet. like the "never before seen" family guy movie that i saw a month before it was released in stores. soon enough i believe movie theaters will be a thing of the past. tv's are getting bigger and more affordable. computers are getting more and more advanced. music is damn near all digital, i don't see everything else too far behind.

i do not think going to the movies will ever stop... too many people like to go out to dinner and a movie... there is something to be said for viewing a good flick in your home, but the experience is just different at the movies so to speak.
yeah but when it gets over $10 for just a ticket i think some people might start to reconsider.
