yes, so, it is pretty much agreed universally that this jack thompson guy is an idiot. but if we were to followup on every idiot when they did something idiotic well then we'd be endlessly occupied and maybe even slightly entertained but our intelligence level would likely drop; so probably best to just let jack thompson be an idiot and forget he exists, despite all the stupid stuff he does to draw attention to himself, cuz if we don't define a cutoff point this could be neverending. soon alan's [our] blog will turn into a continuous jack thompson saga, eww. so i hope, hope, hope, this is the last of the jack thompson posts :P

the thing about idiots who are listened to by meadia sorces is that they get their bs listened to and believed. so the problem is, if people who see this idiot for what he is do not do anything, including say anything, than people will continue to think this idiot is telling the truth and that he has a point. it would be like a teacher not steping in and saying "i'm sorry billy but 2+2 is not 5 it's 4 and you shouldn't be telling the rest of the class otherwise."
well what sort of democracy-believing people would we honestly be if we thought that the masses could not decipher the truth for themselves? are they really that igorant? if they hear from the news media that jack thompson is a great guy and promote him without doing their own research, well then, that's their choice then, isn't it? if they cared or were remotely intelligent in the least, i do indeed think they would find out more about him before going along with whatever he says. and if they aren't capable of/or don't care enough to do that for themselves, i don't see where you guys intervening will make much difference.
